I am an Ossining parent with two kids attending schools in the District. Everything expressed here is based on my own independent research and interpretation of facts.
I am not an educator, nor do I work for the Ossining School District. I am, sincerely and honestly, just trying to make sense of what’s going on in our District.
I will try to be as impartial as possible, but have to admit up front that I am not enthusiastic about New York State’s new mandates, especially the increased testing our children are being subjected to. But I want to be informed about what is going on, and how it is affecting my children’s education. To that end, I will try to remain as open-minded as possible while reporting the facts as I understand them.
